o.b.®: Retro packaging for the anniversary.

Johnson & Johnson is a globally operating company with roots in the USA that sells products in consumer, medical device and pharmaceutical sectors. o.b.®, which stands for “ohne Binde” (“without pad”), was the first tampon to be launched in Germany in 1950 and was acquired by Johnson & Johnson in 1974.

Challenge

Under the o.b.® brand, Johnson & Johnson offers a broad product portfolio for female menstrual hygiene. Our task was to develop an eye-catching packaging design for the anniversary edition “Since 1950”.

Solution

We gave the packaging of each variant a retro design and added an original ad element from the 1950s to the o.b.® logo: The illustrated woman. She still attracts admiring glances today!
